GlobeMed at Emory
GlobeMed is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization based in Evanston, IL that partners university students around the United States with grassroots health organizations around the world. The GlobeMed network engages over 1,500 students at 50 university chapters and partner organizations in 19 countries.
GlobeMed at Emory partners with the MAP Foundation in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which works to empower Burmese migrants living and working in Thailand.

GlobeMed aims to strengthen the movement for global health equity by empowering students and communities to work together to improve the health of people living in poverty around the world.

Activities:
- Grassroots On-Site Work (GROW) Internships with the MAP Foundation every summer.
- GlobalhealthU, GlobeMed's signature global health and leadership curriculum to foster informed and aware global health student leaders.
- Fundraising to support an Emergency House and health outreach programs at the MAP Foundation. Past fundraisers have included a Zombie 5K Run, Mr/Ms Emory Pageant, and a charity banquet.
- GlobeMed at Emory sends delegates to GlobeMed's annual Leadership Institute and Global Health Summit in Evanston, IL to connect with the national and international network.
